Gartan’s Book – 4/4/11
I started revising one scene. I had hoped to keep most of the scene and just tweak it but I ended up throwing out 939 words and starting from scratch. I’m 534 words into it right now.
The King finishes marshalling his forces and advisers to deal with this demon that massacred the people in the temple when a young scullery maid is brought to him. She’s very distraught. She tells him that they must hurry to the protag’s house because she’s gone crazy and she’s used some mysterious book to turn her husband (who is the King’s son) into an evil possessed monster.
In the last draft, the accusation came from The Queen but I’ve killed the whole “Queen as a puppet of the Antag” storyline. This is much more organic to the story.
